Travelling by car, Rutland lies just off the A1, roughly half way between London and York. The A47 from Leicester to Peterborough also passes through the county.
London to Oakham is approximately 2 hours drive.
Leaving London at Apex Corner, head North on the A1(M) for 100 miles. Leave the A1 at the exit for the A606 to Oakham. Continue 8 miles going through the village of Whitwell and then take your next turning to the right onto The Avenue Exton. The Rutland Retreats are 200 yards on your left.
Stamford to Oakham is approximately 20 minutes drive.
The A606 West takes you directly to the Rutland Retreats.
Peterborough to Oakham is approximately 40 minutes drive.
Leaving Peterborough on the A47 west, follow the signs A1 North bound and stay on the A1 for 20 miles. Leave the A1 at the exit for the A606 to Oakham.
