Terms and Conditions
By joining the Discover Rutland membership scheme (a brand that sits within Rutland County Council (RCC)) you as a member agree to abide by the following terms and conditions:
1. Discover Rutland/RCC expects all members to maintain the highest standards of service and professionalism, and to enhance the reputation of Rutland as a tourist destination.
2. Members are required to maintain and operate their premises and/or business in accordance with all relevant statutory requirements.
3. All members must pay an annual or pro-rata subscription as determined by Discover Rutland/RCC. Membership is renewed automatically unless notice is given at least 1 month before membership expires.
4. The period of membership is for 12 month from application. Membership is not transferable.
5. Upon cessation for any reason of membership, no part of any subscription paid shall be repayable to the former member. No refunds will be provided under any circumstances.
6. Discover Rutland/RCC is not obliged to accept any application for membership or give any reason for refusal.
7. Discover Rutland/RCC may terminate the membership of any member that:
- Fails to pay their subscription or fee to RCC/ Discover Rutland within three months of it becoming due; ceases trading or is dissolved.
- Is deemed likely to bring RCC/Discover Rutland into disrepute.
- Fails to provide an adequate standard of quality, thereby generating complaints that are to the detriment of Rutland's tourism industry.
8. Members are provided with the services set out in the description of membership benefits. Members may be charged a fee for any additional services and be subject to additional terms and conditions. Discover Rutland/RCC reserves the right to refuse or remove such services without assigning any reason.
9. All details provided by members must be true, accurate and correct. Members must have ownership rights in the images provided. By signing the Membership Scheme application form, members are deemed to have granted Discover Rutland/RCC with a license to display the images online.
10. Discover Rutland/RCC will not accept any liability in relation to any loss/damage suffered by the business as a result of the listing or the failure of/errors on any listing/the website.
11. Discover Rutland/RCC gives no warranties or guarantee as to the functioning of the website.
12. Members are solely responsible for any liability in respect of the business, in respect of any claims made by third parties in respect of the listing, the business or any trip taken, bookings made with the member.
13. Members are able to amend their listing at any time during the year by contacting Discover Rutland/RCC.
14. Members have the right to terminate their membership, but no refund will be provided.
