Description
Set in rolling countryside, this beautiful, tranquil, adult-only, touring caravan & camping park has just twelve pitches. Perfect for those wanting a relaxing break yet with much to offer nearby. Greendale rests half a mile outside Whissendine. This attractive village has a great dog-friendly pub, bistro-cafe and well-stocked shop. You’ll also find a beautiful church and a working windmill producing organic flours.
Great walking, cycling, birdwatching and heritage, are on your doorstep. There’s plenty to do in the area too – you’ll find lots more information on this website – but the campsite has an excellent array of walks, cycle-routes, guides and maps in their information-stop too!
On site are hard-standing pitches with electric hook-up, showers, toilets and a little shop. The small heated pool is very popular in the summer months too.
Greendale has an ongoing commitment to conservation and the environment. The David Bellamy Gold Award was achieved in 2012/13. Birdwatching is a most rewarding pastime. The landscaped gardens are planted to attract butterflies, bees and birds.
Greendale is easily found nestled in farmland between Oakham and Melton Mowbray, about half a mile from the A606.
