Thoughtfully renovated accessible parkland barn conversions on the edge of the idyllic village of Ayston, Castle Chase Cottages are perfect, easy living boltholes from which to explore Rutland, Uppingham, Stamford and beyond.

The Tack Room, The Hay Barn and The Old Stables have facilities for wheel chairs and electric cars, so all mobility needs are catered for. Accesibility was designed in to these luxury properties. Super King or Twin beds with the most comfortable mattresses and pure cotton bed linen. Castle Chase is consistently rated as 5 star by guests, a much loved destination for multi generational parties. Bathrooms and wet rooms all have roll in showers, roll under sinks, comfort height WC’s all equipped with plenty of grab rails.

Castle Chase is a family farming business as well, with a pop up farm shop and a focus on sustainability. Part of this outdoors ethos is to welcome up to 3 dogs per property, so our guests can enjoy the wonderful walks of Rutland with four legged friends

If you want to stay in, snuggle up by roaring wood burners in luxurious, cosy rooms with a freshly made espresso. The cottages are fully equipped for those who love to cook the local produce with great quality appliances and utensils.

The Stables and the the Tack Room barn conversions have been created with guests needs in mind, offering the heritage of a barn conversion with a high quality modern feel, a palette of slate, oak, glass and warm wood. Its light airy bolt hole is perfect for couples, families and friends looking to relax and explore the beautiful area of Rutland.

Some discreet adaptations make it easier for guests with accessibility needs, including;

  • The kitchen has a roll under sink and hob with the ease of a slide and hide oven.
  • There is level access from the parking area and throughout the single storey properties.
  • The bathrooms and en-suites are fitted with a roll in shower with split height shower doors for ease of use with grab rails and the sink can also be adjusted in height.

The Hay Barn is a new build, which has all the benefits of the perfect proportions for accessibility, it is very spacious with a generous wet room and big bedroom with Super King or Twin beds, built in wardrobes and dressing table.

Some discreet adaptations make it easier for guests with accessibility needs, including;

  • The kitchen has a roll under sink and hob with the ease of a slide and hide oven.
  • There is level access from the parking area and throughout the single storey property.
  • Dog proof enclosed patio and garden with panoramic views across the Rutland countryside.

 

The countryside views can be enjoyed from both inside the properties where you can snuggle up in front of the log burner and outside in the seating area in the wild woodland garden. With views over the parkland and cattle grazing as your neighbours this is a stunning rural retreat. Both properties are interconnected through a garden gate for ease of use.

There is is also an electric vehicle charging point onsite.

From the A47 Roundabout, follow the road in to Ayston, all the way through the village past the red phone box, round the sharp left hand bend, with the park railings on your right hand side. Follow the road round the second sharp right hand bend, and The Stables has a golden rendered wall and tarmac drive on your left hand side. The drive for The Tack Room and The Hay Barn are a further 25m on the Left Hand Side.

Unfortunately busses are patchy in Rutland, taxis are available from Oakham and Corby Stations, contact us for a recommendation.
