Description
We are proud to offer the very best fresh, seasonal food, served in generous portions. Wherever possible, we source our ingredients from local producers, so our sandwiches are freshly made using Hambleton Bakery’s award-winning bread and in season our salads come direct from our very own allotment. Quiches and cakes are home-made, while the huge ploughman’s platters feature happy ham and traditionally hand-raised pork pies from butchers in nearby Oakham and Melton Mowbray.
In the afternoon we offer a delicious, pre-booked, Barnsdale Gardens Afternoon Tea with dainty sandwiches, cakes and scones, served on vintage china for a proper, old-fashioned treat. Also available are mouth-watering locally produced cakes, as well as a cream tea.
The licensed Tea Room seats 120, with extra tables outside overlooking the Gardens for warm days, and we also offer visitors free wi-fi.
