It is close to the historic market towns of Oakham, Uppingham and Stamford which have some unique shops . Very close to the Eyebrook reservoir and Rutland Water which provides excellent water sports and angling as well as a first class nature reserve.
There are also some very nice local golf courses and opportunities for horse riding.
Convenient for seasonal attractions such as the British Bird Fair, Burghley Horse Trials, Leicestershire Foxhunting packs and Shakespeare at Tolethorpe.
Burghley House is a supreme example of Elizabethan architecture and also worth a visit is Rockingham Castle with its spectacular views over five counties.
There are endless opportunities for walking along quiet footpaths and picturesque villages – it as adjacent to the MacMillan Way which passes by the old site of Martinsthorpe Priory and along the shores of Rutland Water There are excellent hostelries in the nearby village of Braunston.
The property consists of two double rooms (one ensuite) and two twin-bedded rooms, and can accommodate up to 9 + cot. Two sitting rooms with log fires and one having access to a southwest facing patio and garden.
Large farmhouse kitchen with dishwasher, freezer, fridge and laundry facilities.
Oil fired central heating for winter months.
