Rutland is known as being ‘The County of Good Taste’ so come along and celebrate the excellent food and drink we have here, from our local suppliers and businesses. Visitors and residents are encouraged to eat their way around the county enjoying Rutland Food Week set menus.

Head to Oakham on Sunday 21st September for the Rutland Food & Drink Festival with stalls in the Market Place, along High Street, in Victoria Hall, plus Oakham Castle and the castle grounds. This year there will be pet competitions in the castle grounds too, so bring your pooch!

Part of British Food Fortnight: Love British Food's national celebration of the diverse and delicious food that Britain produces.

Don Paddy's - Will be offering a flight of local gin, which will be offered throughout September and onwards

  • Devil's Nest (40% ABV) - 15ml of gin with rosemary garnish
  • Strawberry & Lavender (37.5% ABV) - 15ml of gin with strawberry & lemon garnish

Rutland Hall Hotel - Inspired by Rutland and local producers, this afternoon tea features the Rutland 75—a refreshing mix of Earl Grey, Rutland gin, lemon, and champagne—alongside delicious bites like Stilton sausage rolls, beetroot and goats cheese tart, smoked trout with dill crème fraîche, and roast beef with horseradish. Sweet treats include pumpkin cheesecake, honey and lemon cake, chocolate and miso tart, and homemade scones with clotted cream and mixed berry jam, all served with a fine selection of teas. - £30

Falcon Hotel - Will be doing a special drinks menu from Rutland based ingredients as well as offering two special dishes in Fern for Food & Drink Week:
