The Stilton Cheese Vehicle Run (27th April)
Step back in time and join the Cheese Run, a unique event that retraces the historic route once taken to deliver the famous Stilton cheese from Quenby Hall in Leicestershire to the Bell Inn in Stilton, Cambridgeshire. Originally, this 39-mile journey was made by horse-drawn carriage, with stops at various villages and towns along the way to deliver the cheese. It was one of the longest commercial carriage routes of its time until motorised vehicles took over. Today, the Cheese Run brings a touch of nostalgia and a celebration of classic vehicles to this historic route, which now winds through peaceful country lanes.
