Since 2013 Ye Olde England Tours have led the way with private and personalised tours. We treat our guests like family and friends and thats often how we end up.
Originally specialising in London tours but having moved to Oakham we specialise in walking tours but also do day tours across Rutland.
We can meet you at your hotel or Oakham/Stamford railway stations and offer 2-3 hour walking tours so you can enjoy everything our beautiful home has to offer and as it’s a private tour, there is no hurry which can be useful with so many fine cafes and markets around.
We also do historical pub tours with a drink included in each pub if you so wish.
Slightly further afield we do walking tours of Leicester, Lincoln and Nottingham so if you want to follow in the footsteps of King Richard III, that naughty imp or Robin Hood just let us know.

Direction
Oakham is easy to reach on the road network, particularly from the A1. There is plenty of parking in Oakham, Stamford, Uppingham etc. Or alternatively I can meet you at your hotel.
Oakham is easily reached by regular train services from London via Peterborough or Leicester as well direct trains from Birmingham, Cambridge and Stansted Airport.
The journey from London is approximately 80-90 minutes… one I do several times a week but in reverse!
