Drawing on a rich heritage dating back to the 18th Century, Stamford Arts Centre is a thriving multi-arts venue that provides the opportunity to experience and participate in a wide selection of art forms from theatre, cinema, music and poetry to sculpture, dance, painting and drawing.
Throughout the year professional touring theatre companies visit the 166 seat theatre. The theatre also doubles up as the cinema which, over the last 28 years, has become a film hub for the local area, showing a huge variety of genre including Hollywood blockbusters, Art House and World Cinema.
The beautiful ballroom regularly hosts a range of concerts including our popular classical music season that runs from October through to May every year, as well as dances and workshops. The ballroom is a wonderful venue for a wedding or special occasion, and is available to hire along with several other multi-functional rooms for everything from meetings to evening functions.
Our tremendous gallery is spacious, light and airy and is free to look around. The main gallery accommodates an interesting and varied programme of contemporary exhibitions from local and international artists including photography, painting, textile, drawing and sculpture.
Art pieces are also displayed in the foyer coffee shop, which generally exhibits work by our artists in residence, as well as in the ante room where works by the Welland Valley Art Society are displayed.

Stock-up at the Sweet Kiosk for all shows and films where we have a huge selection of snacks and drinks. Take away Tea, Coffee and Hot Chocolate is served alongside chilled favourites fizzy and still drinks. We sell chocolate and sweets galore! Ice Creams include Walls Magnum and delicious Beechdean Farmhouse Dairy Ice Cream. Open before all performances and during intervals.

Open for before Films, Live Shows and intervals. For that quick pre-show drink that you can take into the auditorium or making the most of an interval, visit our one stop shop for wines, bottled beers, lager & cider, soft drinks, tea, coffee, ice cream and snacks! Situated on the ground floor in the lovely surroundings of the Art Gallery. Remember, if you are attending a performance you can beat the rush by pre-ordering your interval drinks.
