Description
It is said that the East Midland has the best riding countryside in Europe and we have many hunts in the area as well as private stables and of course the Internationally famous Burghley Horse Trails.
The, now lapsed, Leicestershire & Rutland Bridleway Association worked hard to ensure miles of safe riding in the area.
Stapleford Estate Rides consists of 15 miles of off-road rides, compromising of numerous grass tracks around field edges & along the banks of the River Eye. Circular routes have been incorporated into the scheme with other areas utilising hard tracks to link up to a further 1 mile of Bridle way. Popular events are also held annually.
Somerby Equestrian Centre is based in an area famous for its hunting country and the extensive network of bridleways. with miles of peaceful off-road hacking. It is ideal for either one hour hacks, a holiday full of rides, or anything in between!
Barrow Stables is Rutland’s longest established livery yard offering holiday livery on a safe and secure family run yard.
Bring your horse on holiday and enjoy excellent hacking at Chestnut Farm Stables near Uppingham.
Please note that horse riding is not permitted at Rutland Water.
