Shop local and enjoy our Christmas events with ease this holiday season! Rutland County Council, in collaboration with Oakham and Uppingham Town Councils, is offering free parking every Saturday in December leading up to Christmas across all council-owned car parks.

On 27th November the Uppingham Fatstock show retur

On 27th November the Uppingham Fatstock show returns for its 117th year!

Pigs, sheep, and cattle will be on display in the town’s Market Square, with local farmers proudly showcasing the best of their animals.

This unique event, steeped in tradition and held in temporary penning, invites everyone to celebrate British agriculture. With livestock arriving at 7am, judging at 10am, and prize-giving at 11:30am, come witness this remarkable show.

A huge congratulations to The Olive Branch in Clipsham on its 25th anniversary and celebrating by being named one of The Good Food Guide's Top 50 Best Sunday Roasts in Britain 2024! 🏆

The Top 50 Roast accolade is the latest addition to The Olive Branch's impressive list of achievements over the past 25 years, which include a Michelin Star (held from 2002 to 2013), Good Pub Guide UK Pub of the Year, and a Michelin Bib Gourmand.

To celebrate its 25th anniversary, The Olive Branch team has curated a series of special menus, including a nostalgic Moules Menu inspired by the pub's earliest days. They've also launched limited-edition Olive Branch label anniversary wines and beers, offering guests a unique way to toast the milestone year.
