Winter Warmers
Join us for a winter journey along the Nene Valley Railway behind the famous GWR No. 4079 Pendennis Castle, visiting us with kind thanks to Didcot Railway Centre.
Step aboard our heritage carriages, settle into your seat and enjoy a nostalgic journey through the Nene Valley, with steam heating helping to keep you warm along the way.
Your Experience
Your ticket gives you the freedom to explore the railway throughout the day, with services running to our Silver Timetable.
You can join the train at any of our stations, hop on and off during the day and enjoy travelling behind one of Britain's most celebrated surviving Great Western steam locomotives.
Built at Swindon in 1924, Pendennis Castle has a remarkable history spanning more than a century, including its famous 1925 trials against LNER Pacific locomotives and more than 23 years spent in Australia.
Its visit to the Nene Valley Railway provides a special opportunity to experience this historic locomotive in action.
