Begin at the Farm Shop
Our English wine-making tour begins at the Belvoir Castle Retail Village Farm Shop—a celebration of local produce, artisan craft, and estate-grown goodness. Here you'll meet your fellow travellers, receive your first taste of the estate, and prepare for an adventure that takes you from castle grounds to working vineyard.
Step Aboard the Gun Bus
Leave the ordinary behind. You'll travel to the vineyard aboard our iconic Gun Bus—a vehicle with character as distinctive as the wines themselves. The journey through the estate sets the scene: ancient parkland, sweeping views, and the anticipation of vines waiting to be discovered.
Walk the Vines with Alasdair Lawson-Dick
Your guide through this productive landscape is Alasdair Lawson-Dick, an expert whose knowledge of wine is matched by his passion for it. Alasdair will reveal the story of the vineyard and the grape varieties chosen as well as the character and the centuries of heritage that shape every bottle.
You'll learn how the unique microclimate and soils of the Belvoir estate influence the wines in your glass, why certain varieties thrive here, and how our winemaking philosophy honours both tradition and innovation. This is not a scripted walk; it's a conversation, shaped by your curiosity so feel free to ask your questions as you chat.

The journey culminates in a guided tasting of four estate wines —a beautifully presented flight that allows you to explore the full character of our range at your own pace.

The Return
When you're ready, the Gun Bus will carry you back to the Farm Shop, where the experience continues.
