A Day Out with Thomas on His Very Own Branch Line
Join Thomas for a delightful journey along his countryside branch line to Yarwell, passing through the famous Wansford Tunnel. With plenty to see and do across the railway, it’s the perfect family day out.
About the Experience
All Thomas Branch Line trains are hauled by Thomas himself, taking you from Wansford to Yarwell and back throughout the day.

What’s Included & What You Can See
• Thomas will pull all services between Wansford and Yarwell
• Travel on the main train to Peterborough (requires a Freedom Travel Day Pass for adults and children aged 3+)
• On-train Buffet Car
• Join the main train at any of our stations
• Miniature Railway Rides (subject to weather and volunteer availability)
• Wansford Café serving breakfasts 09:00–10:30, followed by lunches, cakes, ice creams and hot/cold drinks
• Wansford Gift Shop with a wide range of gifts, toys — and plenty of Thomas merchandise
• Charity Shop at Wansford
• Outdoor Children’s Play Area and riverside picnic space at Wansford

What Your Ticket Includes
An all-day ticket on Thomas’s branch line allows unlimited travel on your chosen — or all — Thomas shuttles between Wansford and Yarwell.
If you wish to travel on the main line train to Peterborough as well as on Thomas’s shuttles, you will need to purchase a Freedom Travel Day Pass.
Your Day Pass covers unlimited travel on the full line plus all Thomas shuttles for ages 3+.
- Ages 1–2 require only the £7 Thomas ticket
- Under 1s travel free on both Thomas and the main train
