Discover the secrets of medieval herbal medicine with Helen, the household’s herbalist, and learn how plants and herbs were used to heal, the stories behind traditional remedies, and their influence on modern medicine.
Celebrate the autumn season by learning traditional willow weaving techniques and creating your own seasonal wreath to take home. Visitors can also discover the art of medieval writing by making their own quill and ink before trying their hand at traditional calligraphy.
