Rutland Walking & Cycling Festival 2026

The popular festival will be returning from 16-29 May 2026, celebrating movement, wellbeing and community across Rutland.

The first week features the much loved Rutland Round - a 65-mile circular route around the perimeter of the county, with its start and finish in Oakham and a couple of detours to visit Rutland Water. The 65-mile walk will be split into six days and led by fantastic volunteer leaders who bring local knowledge, encouragement and inspiration along the way. Limited transport will be available to return participants to start points (subject to availability). You can book to walk as many sections as you like or why not take on the challenge of the full Rutland Round.

The second week shines a spotlight on the amazing local services, clubs, programmes, and community groups that make Rutland thrive. Offering a range of guided walks, bike trade in event and inclusive events for all ages and abilities, from gentle family sessions to more challenging experiences.
