RIESLING WINE MASTERCLASS

Join our GM and wine podcaster Andy along with local wine expert Johnny Bingham for a relaxed lunchtime tasting exploring the world of Riesling

Riesling is one of the world’s most versatile grape varieties, capable of producing everything from bone-dry, mineral wines to richer, fruit-led styles with remarkable ageing potential. During this informal masterclass, Andy and Johnny will guide guests through six different Rieslings chosen to show the grape’s range of flavours, regions and winemaking styles.

The event is designed to be conversational rather than formal. With just 12 guests seated around the table alongside Andy and Johnny, there will be plenty of opportunity to ask questions, compare notes and discuss the wines throughout the tasting.

Dean and the kitchen team will serve a selection of tasting snacks during the masterclass, designed to complement the wines.

The lunchtime event starts at 12.15pm with an arrival Riesling in the garden, weather permitting, giving guests the chance to meet and mingle before the tasting begins. At 12.30pm, everyone will move through to the large dining table in The Barn where the tasting will take place.

Expect good wines, lively conversation and the chance to discover why Riesling remains one of the most respected grapes in the wine world.
