A weekend of classical music and choral performances celebrating the music of Bach, Buxtehude and Parry, alongside a special opportunity to join a community singing event.
Friday 25 September
Hidden in Plain Sight: Bach | Böhm | Buxtehude
7pm – 8.30pm
All Saints’ Church, Oakham
Featuring Liturina, an award-winning chamber ensemble:
- Gabi Jones – violin
- Iain Hall – recorder
- Samuel Ng – cello/gamba
- Dominika Maszczynska – keyboards
A showcase of Lutheran Chorale Preludes from Buxtehude to Bach, reimagined and arranged for chamber ensemble.
Sung Compline follows at 8.45pm.

Saturday 26 September
Parry’s Songs of Farewell
7pm – 8.30pm
All Saints’ Church, Oakham
Featuring IKON Singers, a professional choir, conducted by David Hill.
The evening explores Bach’s glorious motets alongside beautiful 20th-century English choral music by Parry, including Songs of Farewell.
Programme includes:
- Komm, Jesu, Komm – J.S. Bach
- Lobet den Herrn, alle Heiden – J.S. Bach
- Songs of Farewell – Hubert Parry

Sunday 27 September
Come and Sing Evensong with David Hill and Harry Jacques
All Saints’ Church, Oakham
- Rehearsal: 4pm – 5.30pm
- Evensong: 6pm – 7pm
Everyone is welcome to take part, regardless of previous experience, and there is no participation fee.
Repertoire includes:

- Anthem – O thou the central orb (Wood)
