Spring has arrived in Rutland, bringing with it a lively schedule of events that offer something for everyone! As the weather warms up, many of Rutland’s top attractions are reopening, giving you plenty of options for solo adventures or family outings.
Easter Egg Hunt around Rutland Water (12th – 21st April 2025)
Celebrate spring at Rutland Water with a fun and festive Easter Egg Hunt! From the 12th to the 21st of April, explore the park and search for giant Easter Eggs, each beautifully decorated by local community groups, including Ketton CofE Primary School, Edith Weston Academy, and 1st Oakham Rainbows & Brownies.
Your challenge is to find each egg and complete your trail sheet by uncovering the spring word hidden at every location. Once you’ve found all the eggs and filled out your sheet, return to the Visitor Centre to claim a sweet treat as a reward for your efforts. Best of all, this family-friendly activity is free, and no booking is required; just come along anytime between 10 am and 4 pm daily. So grab your trail sheet and hop on over to join in the fun!

Burghley House – Outdoor Art Installation: Botanic Tapestry
The historic gardens of Burghley House will undergo a captivating transformation with Botanic Tapestry, an innovative outdoor art installation by the artist duo Graphic Rewilding. This striking exhibition, featuring vibrant botanical flags, celebrates the connection between art, nature, and history, offering a fresh and bold perspective on Burghley’s breathtaking grounds.
Graphic Rewilding is on a mission to reconnect people with the natural world through art, fostering positive mental well-being. The artists are working across the globe, with artworks unveiled in China in 2024 and new works across the US being launched later this year. Botanic Tapestry at Burghley marks their largest and most ambitious UK project to date.

Fineshade Wood – The Brand New Stick Man Trail is now open!
Set off with a hop and twirl as you join Stick Man on his forest adventure.
This interactive family trail follows Stick Man as he embarks on a journey to reunite with his family tree. Along the way, enjoy a series of fun, stick-based activities, discover fascinating tree-mendous facts, and learn about the wildlife of the forest.
Once you’ve helped Stick Man find his way home, don’t forget to complete the rubbing in your adventure passport and snap a photo with Stick Man at the family tree!

Rumble Action Live – Now Open!
The award-winning Rumble Live Action Gaming arena is back for the season! Open from March to November, it offers outdoor laser tag for both adults and children aged 8 and up (with
