The Route
Head out of Oakham on Stamford Road, taking time to admire the first posthumous statue of Queen Elizabeth II at the round about.
At the next roundabout, go straight over, staying on Stamford Road on southern the pavement.
Follow the path, right, away from the road, and continue on the new road towards Hambleton.
Before you reach the village, take the footpath left and follow the route around the peninsular.
Re-join the Oakham Road, turning left, and retrace your route back into Oakham.
