The date of the 2025 For Rutland Good & New Clothing Sale has been announced – along with a brand new venue. The annual clothes sale, one of the first and largest sustainable clothes sales in the county, if not the country, will be held on the 28th and 29th March 2025 and will be located at the prestigious Rutland Hall Hotel, on the Stamford Road overlooking Rutland Water, near to Oakham.
Teams of volunteers from For Rutland have already begun collecting and sorting good quality pre-owned and pre-loved clothes, which if necessary are washed by the many volunteers or dry cleaned by John Porter Dry Cleaners of Oakham. Many items are brand new. The volunteer group is getting ready for the sale, which is one of its biggest fundraisers. The last sale raised over
£47,000 for Citizens Advice Rutland, to help provide funding for two specialist advisers who support people from Rutland living with the effects of long term illness and disability.
The first night sale on Friday 28th March is from 5:00pm until 8:00pm and entry is by ticket only. Tickets are £25 in advance, which includes champagne and canapés generously provided by Hambleton Hall; see the website for details.
The Big Sale happens on the Saturday 29th March when doors open at 8:30am. Entry is £5.00 on the door and all clothing is half price! The sale ends at 1:00pm. There is clothing for all the family, as well as designer outfits, coats, shoes, handbags and loads of accessories.
