The Sigma Sports/Schwalbe Rutland-Melton CiCLE Classic is the UK’s premier one-day cycling event. After the disappointment of flooding cancelling the 2024 event, 2025 is due to be a belter Sunday 27th April 2025

Weekly markets are held in Uppingham and Stamford on Fridays and in Oakham on Wednesdays and Saturdays, with the third Saturday of each month including a Farmers Market.

The usually peaceful and picturesque village of Braunston is transformed into a lively whirl of activity with a thriving street market, children’s fairground rides and family games ( including the famous Braunston Duck Racing ), a craft market in the church, classic cars on the village green, bouncy castle, tombola and raffle, and includes the crowning of the May Queen followed by maypole dancing

A NEW 3 day Flower and Garden Show in August at the Rutland Showground that will encompass floral and produce competitions, garden and plant shopping, celebrity gardeners, arts and crafts, and family and children’s activities.
