SUMMARY:Tony Stockwell: Psychic Medium
DESCRIPTION:Remarkably compelling\, amazingly detailed\, and always humorous The popular star of TV’s Street Psychic\, Psychic Private Eyes and Psychic Academy\, Tony Stockwell has a long-established credibility as one of the top Intuitive Mediums. Tony demonstrates his belief that those who have passed can communicate with their loved ones with detailed messages frequently including names\, dates\, and locations and all delivered with emotion\, sensitivity\, and empathy. The evening may include psychometry\, photograph readings and psychic prediction. \nRecent legislative guidelines insist that any Evening of Mediumship should be billed ‘for entertainment purposes’. Tony certainly uses his natural wit\, showmanship\, and Cockney charisma to entertain but more important\, Mediumship has the potential to change someone’s life and instil in them a sense of peace\, comfort\, and purpose. We hope that nobody can fail to come away untouched by the experience.

SUMMARY:The Fureys Farewell Tour
DESCRIPTION:Legends of Irish music & song\, The FUREYS renowned for their hit songs ‘I will love you’\, ‘When you were sweet 16’\, ‘The Green fields of France’\, ‘The old man’\, ‘Red rose café’\, ‘From Clare to here’\, ‘Her father didn’t like me anyway’\, ‘Leaving Nancy’\, ‘Steal away’ etc take to our stage for the final time as part of their FAREWELL TOUR. \nThe oldest of the brothers\, Eddie Furey left home in 1966 and travelled to Scotland at the time of the great folk revival where he met and shared accommodation with then unknown folk singers Billy Connolly and Gerry Rafferty. \nIn 1972\, Gerry Rafferty wrote ‘Her father didn’t like me anyway’ for Eddie. BBC Radio 1 presenter\, the late John Peel made it his single of the year. \nThey are particularly proud of their UK chart success with songs such as I Will Love You and When You Were Sweet Sixteen\, which in turn helped bring Irish folk and traditional music to a completely new audience. The band made their Top of the Pops debut in 1981. \nEddie Furey recalls how “many musicians have told us we influenced them after hearing a record from their parents or grandparents’ collection”. Dave Stewart of The Eurythmics has credited Eddie with teaching him his first chords on the guitar while still a teenager. Eddie would return the compliment by joining Dave on stage in Paris for a jam during Dave’s wedding to Bananarama’s Siobhan Fahey. \nTheir emotive songs stir many emotions\, tears and laughter\, sadness and joy.

SUMMARY:Pleasure Incorporated
DESCRIPTION:Pleasure Incorporated is a lyrical\, funny\, and surreal one-woman play set inside the cubicles and corridors of an imagined corporation. Through the language of HR policies\, performance reviews and workplace rituals\, the show explores familiar concepts of labour\, autonomy and survival in a hostile world. \nWritten and performed by accomplished writer\, performer and theatre-maker Jemima Foxtrot\,  Pleasure Incorporated  draws on Jemima’s  lived experience of escorting in Berlin and uses corporate satire to examine how bodies\, labour and power are managed\, regulated and sold. \nBlending live performance with video art and an original soundtrack \, Pleasure Incorporated shifts between humour and tenderness\, inviting audiences to question what we accept as “normal” work. It asks what autonomy really looks like when choice is shaped by capitalism\, gender and survival \nPleasure Incorporated is recommended for ages 16+.\nContent note:  mentions of sex work and child sexual abuse.

SUMMARY:Sculpture Workshop - Portraits in Wire
DESCRIPTION:Unleash your creativity and learn new skills in this full day sculpture workshop.\nWorking with local sculptor Robert Fogell create your own unique portrait using various coloured wires and mixed media materials. Learn how to research\, articulate and develop three-dimensional portraits. Study the Modernists as inspiration and develop your creative thinking and practical technical skills.\nThis workshop is suitable for all abilities – whether you are a complete beginner or are looking to refine your skills. Work at your own pace with Robert on hand to provide support and guidance.\nRobert Fogell initially trained as a Sculpture Conservator working on classical and modern stone sculpture and allied materials in public and private collections from around the UK. He now has his own studio based at Burghley House.\n“My work explores the geometry of sculpture and attempts to convey fundamental elements of symmetry and proportion and how they interact with each other.”\nAll materials will be provided. Lunch can be purchased at the Garden Café or Orangery Restaurant on the day or participants are welcome to bring a packed lunch.
