DESCRIPTION:This September\, we invite you to step beyond the familiar and explore a world of creativity waiting to be discovered across Northamptonshire and Rutland. Northants & Rutland Open Studios is more than an art festival – it is an opportunity to explore hidden studios\, beautiful villages\, bustling towns\, country gardens\, galleries\, and creative spaces\, while meeting the artists who make our region such a vibrant place to visit. \nFrom painting\, ceramics\, and sculpture to textiles\, printmaking\, jewellery\, photography\, and glass\, every venue offers something different. Some artists will be opening their working studios\, others will be exhibiting together in shared spaces and galleries\, creating exciting opportunities to experience a wide variety of work in one visit. \nStart your journey at our Central Exhibition at Lamport Hall\, running from 5th September – 3rd October\, Wednesday to Sunday\, 10am-4pm. Bringing together work from artists across both counties\, it is the perfect place to discover new artists\, plan your route\, and be inspired to explore further afield. Whether you visit one venue or twenty\, we hope this year’s festival encourages you to slow down\, explore more\, support local creativity\, and enjoy the rich artistic talent on your doorstep. Individual selections may sell out during the festival.\n\nFood & Refreshments\nThere’s plenty to enjoy alongside your favourite pint\, with street food available throughout the festival. \nWe’ll be welcoming: \n\nPizza Gorillas\, serving freshly prepared pizzas.\nChick Mac Moo\, bringing their street food offering to the festival.\n\nThe Overton Station Café will also be open\, serving tea\, coffee\, soft drinks and snacks\, with proceeds supporting the Nene Valley Railway. \n\nLive Entertainment\nEnjoy a great atmosphere at Ales at Overton\, with live entertainment across both days of the festival. \nFriday 16th October – Peterborough Morris \nWe’re delighted to welcome Peterborough Morris on Friday evening\, bringing traditional Morris dancing to the festival. \nSaturday 17th October – Clafoutis \nOn Saturday evening\, sit back with your favourite beer or cider and enjoy live music from Clafoutis\, a folk trio providing the evening’s entertainment. \nWhether you’re visiting for the beers\, the cider\, the food or simply the atmosphere\, there’s plenty to enjoy at Overton throughout the weekend. \n\nHeritage Train Services\nTravel to and from the festival aboard our heritage trains. \nSpecial evening services will operate on both Friday and Saturday\, allowing visitors to enjoy the festival before returning by rail. \nThe final departure from Overton to Peterborough will be approximately 10:30pm\, giving visitors plenty of time to enjoy the festival before the bars close. \n\nSupporting the Railway\nAles at Overton is proudly organised and run by volunteers from across the Nene Valley Railway\, including members of the Overton Project\, Wagon Group\, Travelling Post Office Group and the wider volunteer community. \nEvery ticket purchased helps support the continued preservation and development of both the railway and the historic Overton Station site. \n\nTicket Prices\nFestival Entry Only \n£5 per person \nIncludes: \n\nFestival admission\nCommemorative festival glass\n\nFestival Entry + Pacer Shuttle \n£15 per person \nIncludes: \n\nFestival admission\nCommemorative festival glass\nReturn travel on the Pacer shuttle service
