DESCRIPTION:Oakham’s much‑loved Bands in the Park series returns to Cutts Close Park this summer\, bringing live music\, community spirit\, and relaxed Sunday afternoons to the heart of the town. Each week\, the historic bandstand hosts a different musical performance\, all funded and organised by Oakham Town Council. \n\n21st June – Houndogs\n28th June – Armed forces day\, Alan Jackson and the Rutland Big Band\n5th July – Bad Boyou\n12th July – Uppingham Soul and Jazz Band\n19th July – Top Banana Bands\n26th July – Idle hands\n2nd August- Bongo Rat Pack\n9th August – Hathern Band\n16th August – Kobras Band\n23rd August – Out of the blue\n30th August – Bank Holiday\, CJ Hatt and Vesper\n\nAlongside the music\, the park often comes alive with family fun days and community events\, with facilities provided for local organisations to host their own activities. It’s all part of the Town Council’s commitment to making Oakham a vibrant\, welcoming place to live and visit. \nExpect a friendly atmosphere\, plenty of green space to spread out a picnic\, and a great mix of musical styles across the season.
